1996 - 2016. Giardino Italiano celebrates 20 years of online sales.
To celebrate this important anniversary (in 1996 we were the first site in the world to sell fountain pens!), Visconti has produced this little masterpiece exclusively for us: the Garden of Eden pen.
The Scrimshaw Technique
Scrimshawinvolves carving the resin with a very sharp cutter to create the decorative pattern. The cracks are then filled with ink, in this case silver, and left to dry for at least three days. Finally, the entire surface is carefully cleaned until the entire design appears. Scrimshaw was used in ancient times to decorate walking sticks, especially ivory ones, the handles of collectible knives, and rifle butts. Currently, Visconti is the only company in the world to currently use this technique.
The entire collection can be personalised with the well-known Visconti patent, My Pen System , with the instant application of initials, or with the hard stone preferred by the future, lucky, owner.
Black onyx, black hematite, blue lapis, purple amethyst, red carnelian, amber, brown tiger's eye, yellow agate, light green peridot, dark green malachite, turquoise, white pearl.
