A few years after the first Souverän Stresemann in large size (800), Pelikan also produces the Stresemann in medium size (600), always with the same elegant stripes in anthracite grey.

The barrel, with its seemingly simple anthracite-colored stripes, is made of cellulose acetate, obtained through a traditional and very labor-intensive process.
A high-quality resin was used for the finely turned, black pieces.
The clip and rings are finished in palladium.
The name Stresemann
Gustav Stresemann (1879-1929), Foreign Minister of the Weimar Republic, Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1926.
He habitually wore a new type of suit (pinstripe), with thin black and anthracite gray stripes, and this type of suit soon became known as his. Even the widely used striped Pelikan fountain pens were called Stresemann; and to this day, both suits and pens bear his name.
Each individual writing instrument is hand-assembled and tested to meet the most stringent quality control criteria.
