The Delta Sentinelesi Indigenous People fountain pen is launched almost ten years after the last collection in the series, based on a design by Francesco Rienzi—sculptor and designer who also signed many of the previous creations. It is a tribute to the people who have preserved their connection with nature over millennia: the sea, the sky, and the land of the island they inhabit.
Production is limited to 388 numbered pieces, available in fountain pen version with a 14Kt gold nib and in rollerball version. Each pen is made up of many different pieces in terms of materials, colors, and finishes, all hand-turned from solid bar in nature's resins: the blue of the sea and sky, the green of the forest, the brown of the earth.

The Sentinelesi Fountain Pen
The body of the Delta Sentinelesi is entirely hand-turned from solid bar, with multi-colored resin sections that alternate natural shades in a unique composition for each piece. The 14Kt gold nib is available in ExtraFine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Stub 1.1, Flex F, and Flex EF sizes—a range that covers every writing style. The pen fills with an integrated piston mechanism. It is also available in a rollerball version.
The Sentinelesi People and the Indigenous People Collection
The Sentinelesi inhabit North Sentinel Island in the Bay of Bengal and are considered one of the most isolated peoples in the world. They have rejected all outside contact for thousands of years, maintaining an intact culture and language of which almost nothing is known. The Indian government protects their isolation as a sovereign choice of the people themselves.
Delta's Indigenous People collection is dedicated to the indigenous peoples of the world. Other models from the same series are available on pens.it: the Ainu and the Simbu. Each model has its own chromatic and material identity, linked to the culture of the people it represents.

How many pieces were produced and how are they numbered?
The Delta Sentinelesi Indigenous People is produced in a limited edition of 388 numbered pieces. Each pen bears an engraved progressive number, certifying its authenticity and position in the series. Once available pieces are sold out, production will not be replenished.
Is the Sentinelesi part of a larger collection?
Yes. The Sentinelesi belongs to Delta's Indigenous People series, resumed after almost ten years of interruption. Other models from the same series are available on pens.it: the Ainu—available in N.O.S. condition from 2005—and the Simbu. Collecting the entire series means having three pieces with distinct chromatic and cultural identities, signed by the same designer.
What is the difference between the fountain pen and rollerball versions?
The fountain pen version features a 14Kt gold nib available in seven sizes, fills with an integrated piston mechanism, and allows free choice of ink. The rollerball uses a liquid ink refill with a more uniform line and does not require ink management. For a collector, the fountain pen with a 14Kt gold nib is the main piece of the series; the rollerball is designed for those who want a Sentinelesi piece for everyday use.
Who designed the Delta Sentinelesi?
The Sentinelesi was designed by Francesco Rienzi, a Neapolitan sculptor and designer who signed many of Delta's creations in the Indigenous People collection. His signature is a guarantee of stylistic continuity with previous editions of the series.

The metal hardware is 24Kt gold plated.
The clip is inspired by the rudimentary weapon that the inhabitants of North Sentinel use for hunting.
The nib is decorated with a map of North Sentinel Island: the outline of the island and its coral reef are highlighted.
At the top of the cap, a 24Kt gold-plated disc is engraved with the geographical map of the island.
The Sentinelese
North Sentinel is one of the Andaman Islands in the Bay of Bengal, approximately 60 sq km in area.
It is the territory of an indigenous tribe, the Sentinellese, who reject any contact with the outside world: one of the last populations in the world still untouched by modern civilization.
They do not farm, do not raise livestock, and attack anyone who attempts to come into contact with them.
The Indian government recognized their right to live secluded in 2005 and imposed an unconditional ban on approaching within 3 miles of the island.
