Marlen Vitis NOS – Italian Fountain Pen with Key Filling System

Marlen produced the VITIS pen in 2000-2001, honoring Italian winemaking tradition. Some pieces found by Marlen and refurbished are offered at a special N.O.S. (New Old Stock) price: specimens that never left the factory, in new condition.

The pen comes with a solid silver key used for filling (side compression). In the center of the barrel, a shaped solid silver plaque engraved with a vine leaf and the Marlen logo highlights the key filling hole. The solid silver clip is decorated with a stylized capital and ends with a rolling ball.

Barrel and cap made of marbled and sometimes semi-transparent acrylic resin, in colors inspired by wine:
Sparkling (light blue/green) — Rosé (pale red) — Novello (dark blue).

Nib and Variations

The Marlen Vitis fountain pen is available with a steel nib in Fine or Medium sizes. Each specimen has been inspected and certified by Marlen before sale. The sac of the filling system has also been replaced with a new one, making them perfectly ready for use.

Filling system

The Marlen Vitis features the exclusive key-fill system, a refined reinterpretation of traditional compression mechanisms.

By inserting the special key into the slot on the barrel, an internal bar is activated, compressing the flexible reservoir; releasing the pressure, the pen draws ink inside.
Both the key and the decorated plate on the barrel are made of solid silver.

A solution with mechanical and vintage charm, perfectly integrated into the pen's design and capable of making every refill a true writing ritual.
