Fountain pen inspired by the training ship Amerigo Vespucci.
Marlen pays homage to one of Italy's most famous symbols in the world -the sailing ship Amerigo Vespucci - with a limited edition of fountain pens and rollerballs in solid silver and wood.
1 / of3
The Amerigo Vespucci is a warship of the Italian Navy, built in 1931 in Castellammare di Stabia, as a training ship for officer cadets.
It's the oldest ship of the Italian Navy still in service.
The cap
The cap is composed of a series of rings in black Italian resin, real wood, white celluloid and solid silver, enriched with small brass portholes.
The ring at the base of the cap features the inscription of the “Amerigo Vespucci” ship in high/low relief.
The sterling silver clip is shaped like a sail, on which a piece of canvas from the ship has been set.
The barrel
The barrel of the pen is enriched by a wide band of solid silver (925/ooo) on which the ship's crest is reproduced in high/low relief.
The barrel is completed by a series of rings in real wood, white celluloid, black Italian resin, and a solid silver ring with the original ship's decorations in high/low relief.
