The Delta Baia is a fountain pen in limited edition of only 3 pieces worldwide. Its name pays tribute to an archaeological site in the Gulf of Pozzuoli (Naples), where an ancient Roman city still lies on the seabed today, among columns and marble remains.

The body of this fountain pen captures the shifting colors of the sea, light and submerged stones: from the blue-streaked grey-green of the cap and blind cap, to the blue, orange and turquoise of the pen's body.

The colors that inspired the Delta Baia

The cap and blind cap are in a blue-streaked grey-green, while the body alternates blue, orange and turquoise. The result is a color play designed to evoke the reflections of the seabed, different at every hour of the day.

Technical features

The model uses a piston-filling system and is fitted with a 14Kt gold nib. The piece currently available has a Broad nib. It is made of premium resin, worked to achieve the marbled color effects described above. Being a limited edition of only 3 pieces, each pen is a rare item in the world of collectible fountain pens, designed for those looking for an exclusive object as well as a writing instrument.

Being a piston filler, it is refilled with bottled ink, with no need for cartridges or converters. Among the colors closest to the tones of the Delta Baia, the Herbin La Perle Des Encres line offers the turquoise Blu calanco and the orange-brown Terre de feu. In the Iroshizuku Pilot line, Shin-kai evokes the blue-green tones of the seabed instead. All are available on Pens.it in different formats.

For collectors, this Delta fountain pen joins the range of limited edition models that the Naples-based brand dedicates every year to its collectors worldwide, such as the 96 L.E., another numbered limited edition from the same house.
