Special Edition
Made on the model of the Aurora 88, in black resin with a sculptural cap in solid silver or vermeil (gold-plated solid silver).
A more precious version in burgundy resin with solid gold trim was also produced (not shown here)
The jewel cap
The elaborate decoration in cast, solid silver or vermeil, represents:
- the winged lion of St. Mark, coat of arms of the ancient Venetian government;
- the gondolas, with their typical asymmetrical lines, which cross the canals;
- and is punctuated by the columns of the Doge's Palace, which rise from the lagoon, characterised by quadrilobate tracery.
The central band is decorated with a pattern representing the waves of the lagoon.
The collection includes fountain pens and rollerballs, with both silver and vermeil finishes.
