The barrel and cap, with their characteristic cylindrical shape and toroidal tip, are made of fluorescent blue resin and covered with metallic purple enamel; finely crafted to recreate miniature lightning bolts that recall the discharges produced by the original coils.
The body is then embellished with the embossed writings “Tesla” and “Visconti” enameled in lime green.
Tesla coils
The design of the Visconti Tesla pen draws inspiration from the famous Tesla coils, devices capable of generating spectacular lightning-like plasma discharges.
The three rings, plated in rose gold, evoke the copper windings of the coils, and punctuate the body of the pen with balance: one in the centre and two at the ends.
The exhibition box
The packaging is very unique, inspired by the famous Tesla Tower. Thanks to the pen's hollow structure and the design of the toroids, a light projected from the stand activates the resin's fluorescence, making the engraved lightning bolts glow in a striking ice blue.
The pen appears to be crossed by luminous electrical discharges, as if it were actually animated by the energy that Tesla dreamed of releasing into the world.
