The Etruria Magnifica Miele Selvatico is the oversize version of the Etruria, a great classic from Stipula with a soft, ovoid shape inspired by Etruscan amphorae. It is a lightweight and easy-to-handle fountain pen, with stylized leaf decorations that recall Etruscan art.
This Florentine artisan fountain pen is made of Italian amber resin, hand-turned and brush-polished. The warm amber tone reveals itself gradually, in all its hidden and exquisite depth. The metal details are cast in bronze using the lost-wax method according to ancient Etruscan canons and plated with 24-karat gold, with chiseled Florentine goldsmith-style finishing on the cap band and clip.
The trivalent filling system offers maximum flexibility: international standard cartridge, piston converter, or direct filling with a dropper for high ink capacity. Glass dropper, converter, and cartridge are included in the package.

Each nib and feed are tuned and tested individually. The 14kt gold nibs are Stiflex type, laminated and treated for high elastic response and tip flexibility, produced entirely in Florence with Italian equipment from the early last century.
Try it with a warm-toned ink: the Iroshizuku yama-guri (chestnut brown) naturally complements the amber resin. Alternatively, the J. Herbin Terre de feu offers a warm orange-brown that evokes the tones of wild honey.
Design of the Etruria Magnifica Miele Selvatico: Etruscan inspiration
The Etruria Magnifica Miele Selvatico recalls the austere beauty of Tuscany, ancient Etruscan land. The soft ovoid shape is inspired by Etruscan amphorae, with stylized leaf decorations that recall the motifs of Etruscan art. The balance of shapes, colors, and details brings the history of this unique land to life.
The Magnifica size enhances the pen's body and its overall dimensions, crucial for the correct grip of the fountain pen. The oversize dimensions offer comfort during prolonged writing sessions, maintaining lightness and maneuverability thanks to the Italian amber resin.
Artisan craftsmanship of amber resin
The body and cap of the Etruria Magnifica Miele Selvatico are made of Italian amber resin, hand-turned and brush-polished. The warm hue features natural veins and depth that gradually reveal themselves in the light, with nuances that vary from one specimen to another.
The amber resin guarantees lightness, durability, and a warm, luminous appearance that distinguishes it from other variants in the collection.
Metal details: lost-wax casting and Florentine chasing
The metal details of the Etruria Magnifica Miele Selvatico are cast in bronze using the lost-wax method according to ancient Etruscan canons, an artisan technique that allows for complex and detailed shapes. After casting, the details are plated with 24-karat gold to ensure durability and luster.
The central band and clip are finished with Florentine goldsmith-style chasing, with hand-engraved stylized leaf decorations. This artisan craftsmanship makes each piece unique and recalls the Tuscan goldsmith tradition.
Trivalent filling system with dropper included
The fountain pen offers three filling systems:
- Cartridge: international standard cartridges (included in the package)
- Converter: piston converter for bottled inks (included)
- Direct filling: filling the entire body with a glass dropper (included) for high ink capacity
Direct filling with a dropper allows you to utilize the entire volume of the pen body, guaranteeing superior autonomy compared to cartridges and converters. This flexibility is rare in artisan fountain pens of this range.
Stiflex nibs in steel and 14kt gold for the Etruria Magnifica Miele Selvatico
The steel nib is available in F, M, and Stub 1.1; or in a single V-Flex size, a calligraphic nib with a larger cut and very high line flexibility. The V-Flex nib starts with an F/M line with light pressure, to reach a stub with just hand pressure.
The 14kt gold nibs are of the Stiflex type, laminated and treated for high elastic response and tip flexibility. They are produced entirely in Florence by Stipula masters, with Italian equipment from the early last century. Each nib is tuned and tested individually.
