The material of the Pineider Arco is resin, in overlapping layers, which in the Rainbow model are a sequence of the colors of the rainbow, red, yellow, green, turquoise, blue, purple.
Turning the slab at a specific angle (4 degrees) brings out the overlapping layers and enhances their natural iridescence.
The clip represents a quill pen, like all Pineider pens. (Each series of pens has a different clip, but always inspired by the quill pen.)
The nib
The 14K gold nib, with ruthenium finish, is hyper-flexible and characterized by extraordinary ductility and excellent memory. It is suitable for everyday use, with contoured edges for greater flexibility.
However, it is not a calligraphy nib, which has different characteristics; its strength is the pleasure of writing, because it allows a fluid stroke without any pressure, as if the pen were an extension of the hand.
Magnetic closure
The Pineider Arco pen has a special magnetic closure that holds the cap both when the pen is closed and open (on the back).
A special Pineider patent for polarizing the magnets allows for soft opening and secure closing.
