Rudi Rother (1863-1909)
He was a German painter and illustrator famous for his graphic works and humorous illustrations in the Jugendstil style, the German equivalent of Art Nouveau; his work was characterized by flowing lines, ornamental designs, and stylized figures.
The decoration
The barrel of the Pelikan 600 Rudi Rother is made using the sophisticated "aurora" method.
The brass tube is worked, guilloché-engraved, with very thin grooves that create a special reflective holographic effect. Ten layers of clear varnish are then applied until a smooth, uniform surface is achieved, which, after polishing, is then printed with a color design.
The final polishing, carried out in several steps, gives the pen an extraordinary shine.
