L'Arma di Calliope (Calliope was the Greek muse of epic poetry) celebrates the Carabinieri Corps, with the colours and emblems of the Benemerita.
From the Carabinieri collection, Marlen has also produced L'Arma di Calliope Slim.

Barrel and cap made of black pearly Italian resin with grey-blue shades, turned from a solid bar; rings in red pearly resin.
Clip and central band in solid silver decorated with the flame and the emblems of the Carabinieri.

The Marlen L'Arma di Calliope fountain pen can be chosen with the flame in bronze or silver (to distinguish ranks within the institution).

Official Product of the Carabinieri Corps

The central band is decorated with the Carabinieri emblem and the emblem of the Italian Republic.
The solid silver clip features the symbol of the Flame, the distinguishing mark of the Carabinieri Corps, in two versions: bronze or silver, to differentiate ranks.

The Carabinieri Emblem

The Carabinieri coat of arms features a silver cross dividing a shield into 4 parts: in the quadrants, we find, alternating:
a hand gripping a snake, representing prudence and determination;
and a flaming grenade, also present on headwear, symbolizing the warrior spirit and the origins as an elite troop.
The flaming grenade is also set on the clip.
At the top of the shield is a golden lion, a symbol of strength and courage; and above it, a turreted crown.

The scroll at the bottom bears the Carabinieri motto: "Faithful through the centuries."
