The Aliante Classic collection is a special Marlen edition that evokes the colours of the Italian Air Force, one of the excellences of the Italian Armed Forces.

Fountain pen, rollerball, and ballpoint pen made with fine dark blue pearly Italian resin with light blue and gold veins, turned from solid bar stock.
For the Italian Air Force, Marlen also produced the Aliante Slim model.

The central band of the cap is made of solid silver, decorated in bas-relief with the emblem of the Air Force and the Italian Republic.
On the clip, made of solid silver, there is a bronze eagle, the symbol of the Italian Air Force.

The central band is engraved with the alternating emblems of the Italian Air Force and the Italian Republic.
The solid silver clip features a bronze eagle, a distinctive symbol.

The Italian Air Force emblem

The Italian Air Force emblem, symbol of military pilots, contains the badges of four squadrons that distinguished themselves during World War I for their skill, courage, and heroism.
The winged horse with a torch (top left) is the badge of the X Farman Squadron (1913);
the rampant griffin (top right) belongs to the 91st Fighter Squadron;
the four-leaf clover is the 10th Caproni Squadron;
the lion of St. Mark (bottom right) belongs to the 87th Airplane Squadron.
The scroll at the bottom bears the motto "Virtute Siderum Tenus" (= with valor to the stars) which summarizes the courage, skill, and sacrifice of all Italian airmen.

An eagle with a turreted crown in bronze is set on the clip.
