Dedicated to Hippocrates

Maiora presents Hippocratica, his first writing instrument dedicated to Hippocrates, on whose theoretical foundations the Medical School is founded.
Hippocrates theorized that a person's illness and health depended on specific human circumstances, not on superior divine intervention; he introduced, for the first time, the concepts of diagnosis, prognosis, and medical records.

The Hippocratica pen by Maiora is made of highly glossy black resin with burgundy rings and palladium finishes.
The shape is the elegantly ogival one of the Ultra-Ogiva, which characterizes Maiora production.

Personalized clip and nib

The nib (and clip) are decorated with a stylization of the famous Rod of Asclepius, an ancient Greek symbol associated with medicine: a snake coiled around a rod.
(Asclepius was the Greek god of medicine - Aesculapius to the Romans).
The rod of Asclepius symbolizes the healing arts, with the serpent shedding its skin symbolizing rebirth and fertility.

The collection includes fountain pens and rollerballs.
