The Kaweco Sport series welcomes the Kaweco Sport Piston, a piston-filling fountain pen in a pocket-friendly size.

Derived from the Sport Classic, it is made of glossy black resin with gold-tone trim and features a piston mechanism with an inspection window and a gold-tone ring on the barrel.

The Kaweco Sport Piston's piston mechanism

Unlike the other Sport models, which use cartridges, this fountain pen features a built-in piston mechanism visible through the inspection window on the barrel—making it easy to check the remaining ink level.

Technical specifications

The body is made of glossy black resin with a rounded octagonal section, gold-tone trim, and a gold-tone ring. The gold-tone steel nib is available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, and Double Broad (1.3 mm) nib sizes. Closed, it measures 105 mm; with the cap fitted on the back, it measures 130 mm.

Like all Kaweco Sport models, it can be fitted with a removable Kaweco Clip, which can be purchased separately and is not included in the package.

Despite the piston mechanism, it retains the same pocket-friendly size as the other Sport models: closed, it measures just 105 mm, making it perfect to carry with you in your bag or pocket.

Unlike the cartridge versions, the piston reservoir is filled directly from an ink bottle. To change colors, simply empty it and rinse it with warm water, operating the piston several times until the water runs clear.
