The Journal collection was created by Delta in 2014 as a tribute to the art of journalism. And since the journalist's weapon is the pen, Delta created a series of pens with a unique, innovative, and elegant design.

Delta reopened two years ago, after closing in 2017, finding some pieces that it reassembled and overhauled, equipping them with a new nib.
The Journal was initially available in 5 colors: in addition to Pompeii red, there was solid black, a pearly blue, a mottled brown and a mixed black-beige.
The Pompeii color recalls a famous 1996 Delta limited edition, dedicated to Pompeii, made of dark red celluloid with green-grey inserts and some fragments of white.
The Journal is made of resin, hand-turned from solid bar stock; but the composition of the fragments and colors is very similar.
