Fountain pen from the 88 series, with classic shapes and rounded ends, in a refined and precious version.
Made from the most traditional of materials: ebonite , used for fountain pens since the first examples in the early 1900s; obtained from a mixture of natural rubber and mineral and organic substances, it has gradually been replaced by cheaper and more colorful plastics.

Ebonite, a traditional material

The Aurora 88 Ebonite was also made in black/yellow (sold out) and black/blue (sold out)

Ebonite is a material composed of rubber and sulfur, vulcanized at high temperatures for prolonged periods.
Also known as "hard rubber," it is still used for fountain pens, pipe mouthpieces, and musical instruments due to its hardness and durability.

In the Aurora 88 Ebonite, at the top of the cap, an ebonite hemisphere shows the spiral striation of the material.
