Preview of the Delta 96 Limited Edition
In an absolute preview, here is the 96 , the new splendid limited edition from Delta, which will be available starting from mid-August.
Only 96 fountain pens, made in 3 colors of 32 pieces each, scheduled for August and September.
The 96 collection is created by Delta to celebrate the year Giardino Italiano was founded: 1996, precisely, which for an e-commerce site is a really long time ago.
It was the dawn of the internet, when modems whistled and connection speeds were a millionth of what they are today; in Italy, very few people even knew how to use the internet, let alone shop. Yet Giardino Italiano published the first version of its website, and within a few weeks, the first order for a fountain pen arrived from the United States (but, incredibly, by mail!)
And since then, we have never stopped!
We at Giardino Italiano are very proud of these pioneering beginnings and of our success, and we enthusiastically welcomed the idea of another commemorative pen (the previous one had been Visconti's Giardino dell'Eden , for the 20th anniversary).
Delta 96
Thanks to the successful collaboration with Delta, we are pleased to present this magnificent collection.
Here's a sneak peek at the pen and its packaging:
The original art box shows a garden, with red, blue and black flowers blurred in the shadows, like the colours of the 96:
Amarillo Red, Cornflower Blue and Tulip Black .
The first of the three, which will be available in mid-August, is the 96 Rosso Amarillo : a dark red resin, with unexpected shimmers that vary with the light.
The finishes are a mix of gold and silver: the central cap band is the famous Dolcevita bas-relief solid silver band, combined here with yellow gold-plated rings, like the clip and nib.
14Kt gold nib , with normal or flex tips; or steel nib .
Fixed piston loading .
Similar in size to the Dolcevita Media, but longer. It's still a large, bold pen that draws attention without being overbearing. The light from the resin's reflections lightens the intense color and captures the eye.

The Blu Fiordaliso version will be ready at the end of August, and the Nero Tulipano in September.
